1. Can signs be placed on utility poles or posted in rite-of-ways?

The Department of Public Works asks that signs not be attached to utility poles or posted in rite-of-ways.

Attaching "Garage Sale" signs to a pole poses a safety risk to our Electric Department personnel. Also posting signs in the rite-of-way can cause traffic hazards.

If you do post a sign we ask that it be removed as soon as possible following the event.

2. What does WI mean on my utility bill?

WI (Water Improvement) is a $10.00 monthly fee for the Water Improvement Project. The project involves the replacement of water mains to address the rusty water issue.

3. What are the business hours of the Public Works Office?

The Departments of Public Works office is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The office is located in City Hall, 243 E. 13th. 402-826-4312.
